i just spent about 10 min. posting. it got erased.. what is up with that?

i'm at work it's all good. i've got time to do another.

monday is my long day 7:45am-about 9pm.. i'm at regis now, just chillin. i'm taking a break from doing the girls' xmas workouts. fun stuff, whippin them into shape and all. can't wait till my butt can do all this stuff again.

planning our xmas party for the week after next. this is by far the best time of the year...!!! need to get to xmas cards as well. i love sending them.

2 weeks till surgery, scary? nah, it is my third.... i'm a little nervous about this one because i don't know the surgeon all that well.... oh well.

3 weeks till i'm back in NY! :) yeahah.. can you tell i am excited.

1 month till classes start again :) i am very passionate about what i'm in school for.

work went well today. i'm surprised i'm saying that.. i got puked all over today. poor lil guy. i felt so bad for him. he just randomly started crying and curled up in my lap. i've never seen him cry. then it all came out all over moi! i couldn't even be upset or mad, i just felt horrible for him. luckily a co-worker had a change of clothes i was able to borrow. i washed up and changed. then an hour later i was home and in the shower. now i'm at job numero 2..... but as you can see it isn't all that demanding.

speaking of better get back to work.... lata gatas!

Goals...........

My roommate and I were sitting her chatting and I've set two goals for myself....
When I finish graduate school (or possibly this summer) I'm backpacking Thailand....
Anyone is welcome to join..
Before I leave this wonderful state of CO I'm either hiking or mountain biking the Colorado Trail (Denver to Durango).. I think hiking is more realistic for me however, some friends say they will go along if we mountain bike....?? hmmm....

I know random post. Just getting my goals on paper!

Headed to the mall (to return stuff) and then to the gym...

Have a great week :)

I spent the holiday with Bryn... We ended up at the Casino for dinner.. Doesn't it look yummy?? I was bummed I couldn't spend it with my family but I have to admit this may have been one of the best Thanksgivings yet....

I left Omaha this morning bright and early and was back in Denver 7 hours later.... The whole way back I couldn't stop smiling. I just laughed to myself the whole way home.. We know how to have a good time!!!! I'm rejuvenate for my week!

I have a long week a head of me. It is going to be crazy but I know my kiddos will make it fun! They always put me in an amazing mood.

I'm going to try to get some running in this week. It still hurts if I do anything over 2 miles but I'll push it as much as I can before surgery. Speaking of, I'm def. out of the pacific shoreline half marathon and probably out of the San Diego marathon as well. I am still pushing for it though. My surgeon said she doesn't think it is a good idea. I have an appointment with her this week so i'll see if I can talk her into it?
I'm hoping to be back in commission by mid-late summer. So anyone up for an August marathon?? "With every frustration comes the energy to move to a higher level of achievement. With every challenge comes a new strategy for taking action." That is my philosophy for the next few months.

I think that is it. I'm all out of sorts- I feel like it is Sunday. That probably is because Bryn had me up at the crack of dawn. I have to admit - the sunrise was beautiful and well worth it! :)

Happy Saturday!!

Going HOME!!!!!!!!!!!

So folks.. it has been a long time. Maybe a bit too long. I sometimes wonder. I'm counting the weeks, days, and hours. I'll be back in NY in about 5 weeks and 1 day!!!!! Yiiippppeeee!!

So the picture to your right is actually the restaurant I used to work at... its a great place! Amazing view of beautiful Keuka Lake where I grew up.. Who can complain about that????? notta single soul.

My parents live about 3 miles or so down the road. You can kind of see it if you look to the left of the lake and see the little "bluff" they live right on top of that.. cute huh?

Relaxing and tranquil..... I can't wait to just lay on the couch and look out the window. They are getting snow tonight--I know you say ugh--cold upstate NY winter is setting in. However, newly fallen snow, no footprints, nothing for miles. I truly have no complaints about where I'm from. So i'm gettin a lil sentimental! I'm excited to go home!!!

Life is a lot of things but life is always searching....

So I went to church today for the first time in FOREVER. I used to go with my mom here and there, never consistently. However, the last few weeks I've been finding a need to go and I'm so very happy I did. It was such a cute little United Methodist Church with maybe 25-30 people there... People were so friendly and open. I felt like I met some amazing people. I think sometimes when you are confused about what you are searching for, or can't find what you are searching for be it love, relationships, education, job, family, etc. We have this need to try to fill that void with material possessions. Something that you think may fill that void but usually only makes it worse. I know for me I dive into work... I just try to fill every single ounce of my time so I don't have to think or even feel sometimes... scary huh? that how you lose track of who you are real fast.

So my void-there are lots of them but probably the main one is someone far far far away. Someone that I automatically let in about 3 years ago and then when I realized what I had done, I shut that person out almost as quickly as I opened my heart. I wasn't getting hurt again and I didn't want to do any hurting again. The final conclusion- we both wondered for a while and I ended up realizing I had lost something I didn't want to ever give up. Now, I am a strong believer in the phrase "everything has a reason" I'm just not sure what this reason was for me but to learn a lesson. A very hard and valuable lesson. You can't always save yourself from heartache, you can't always build a wall and expect to be in this safe little world. The void will still exist. I've moved on--kind of, but i'm not sitting around waiting. However, I still think of him from time to time and wonder "will I ever get a chance again?" the answer is probably no and surprisingly I'm okay with that also. Next little hump I need to get past, is looking for him in everyone I meet. I will. So what does this all have to do with me going to church?

"There are many firsts that we enjoy and celebrate: the arrive of the day's first light, the first falling snow in the winter or budding blossom in the spring, the first friends found in a new hometown, the first friends made in your old hometown. Through these things, we develop an appreciation for newness, changes and community. There are many firsts that we remember: a child's first word, a first job that converted work to pay, the first church member who said "Welcome!" Through these things we discover the promise in conversation and love and labor." -quoted.

Think about it. Wake up and cherish every morning. Cherish your family and friends. Cherish the stuff that money didn't buy you; for thats the stuff that sincerely counts!

Have a great day. I'm going to chill on the couch maybe do some laundry and write my grandma a letter. I'm taking time for myself today ALL DAY! :) Happy thoughts!

Up up and away

This week's scenario is highlighted by a positive surge in your social and personal life. Friendships come in many strange flavors. Seek out the company of people who will tolerate you for who and what you are. You'll accumulate personal power in some unexpected places. You may have been feeling a little down in the dumps lately. Events that happen this week, will now re-new your old spirit & confidence, to make you feel on top of the world. Don't go overboard on the celebrating, you need to get your beauty rest. You'll need to put out a lot of energy to keep up with the scheduled activities. Someone close to you may disappoint you or hurt your feelings. Take it into stride, don't over react, just remember forgiveness is for those who really are sorry, not for pretenders. Dig deep & you be able to understand motivations. ===============================================

things get better they always do.. Hopefully my horoscope is true... I'm starting to look up and starting to deal with things. Isn't it funny that in the time of the events you rally and totally go into a surreal world to get things done. Afterward, you collapse. Well the last two weeks I think I was going through my collapse. My accident with the pole, my broken foot, my stolen car, my foot surgery--that's all been in the last month and a half to two months. That is insane. Its a lot to take. I didn't think twice about it when I had to but now.... It is def. Kicking in. The last two weeks I've been pretty tired and not feeling so well. This morning I woke up with two screaming ears. Yeh, weird huh, ears hurt like hell. I called in sick to work I HATE THAT..... Anyway, I think it is only gonna get better--at least that is what my horoscope says.

I've gone and done it.. Seems those closest to me always suffer in times that I come down.. I haven't been the nicest person lately and I HATE THAT TOO. I feel that I may have been attacking-not purposely meaning to be. I need to realize sometimes that comments come out that I think nothing of but they hurt others. I love all my friends to death and am thankful for each and everyone of them in my life. The last thing I want to do is hurt someone with a meaningless comment. I'm going to work on that....

On a happier note, I registered for classes today HOORAY!! :) I can't wait to get back to school.. I've missed it soo much. I think that was part of my problem this fall as well. I was working really hard for something I felt really passionate about and then I took two semesters off right in a row and felt like I stepped down. I felt like my goals were put on the back burner. So I'm so excited. Spring is going to be crazzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyyy but for everyone that knows me that's when I deal best!!!

Alright, my ears are hurting really bad.. I'm going to go lie down and wait for the Dr.'s office to call me back.. Hopefully, they will get me in today... HAVE A HAPPY FRIDAY!

holy good money

Must sleep, but first. Tonight I went to a fundraising benefit for where I work, Aspen Center for Autism. Good lord amazing place. We held it in someone's okay not someone but Rutt Bridge's 5th floor pent house (well loft) but the thing was about the size of the house I grew up in.. Not quite but close. Amazing art pottery pieces, amazing balcony..amazing wine, amazing jazz band, amazing food! All we had to do was greet people in the lobby and walk them upstairs. For the last hour we got to enjoy all the festivities.. Made for a somewhat long day and late night but well worth it. Not that I ever want to live in the heart of a city but if I were to want to that place would be it. Or that place just made me think about it.. g'night
